Community Yoga

Come join us for charity donation yoga! Fun, friendly, all-level community hatha* yoga classes.

We run these community yoga classes in Murrumbeena for three reasons:

  1. To raise money for charity.

Join us to do good for yourself and the community!

EVERY MONTH, WE RUN BY-DONATION CLASSES WITH ALL THE PROCEEDS GOING TO THE WESLEY MISSION.

Wesley take care of people in need of emergency housing, foster care, FOOD, and they run the Lifeline emergency call services.

We support them because of stories like this.

We are a female owned and run business and both of us have unfortunately experienced violence at some point.

WE FEEL VERY STRONGLY ABOUT SUPPORTING OTHERS TO MOVE INTO SAFER ENVIRONMENTS.

The practice classes we run for our teacher trainees as they learn their new skills are the perfect platform.

When you come along, you can feel really good that you are supporting people in their efforts to share yoga AND you are supporting families in need.

If you can't afford to give, that's fine! But if you CAN think how far that $10 or $20 would go for a family who can't afford to feed themselves.

    GOOD KARMA, RIGHT THERE!

  2. To help our teacher trainees gain experience. There will always be a senior teacher in the room too, but you might get some of your teaching from a newbie. In this way, you are supporting your own health (by doing yoga) AND charity (with your gold coin or two donation) and ALSO the growth of new yoga teachers in your community! If that doesn't qualify for immediate sainthood, then we just don't know.
  3. To provide yoga classes to people who might not be able to afford them. If regular yoga just isn't in your budget, please come along, and share these classes with anyone in a similar situation who you feel may benefit from them. We know that yoga can be a bit of a costly activity. This way, at least once a month, you get a chance to afford it.

*If you are wondering what hatha yoga is, it just means non-scary yoga that everyone can do, even with joint issues/injuries, although you will need to tell us about those before class.
